Being able to move and recognize music before she could walk was an indication of what was in store for her future. Irina started her dance training in Russia at the age of 5.The enthusiasm that was evident in her demeanor captured the attention of her tutors who invited her to join and study at the biggest dance club in Moscow. Since then she has travelled the world and has been part of many wonderful experiences that are open to those lucky enough to achieve success in our world of dance.

In the early 90s Irina began competing in Russia and Europe winning many championships, and in 1996 she won Open Russian Championship in the youth category. After graduating high school Irina left her family and moved to New York. After only three months of dancing together with her new dance partner she broke straight into US famous finals. She was a US national Amateur finalist for 6 years, as well as the Canadian Open to the World Championship champion. In 1998 Irina started teaching and coaching full time. By 2003 she was running her studio in Brooklyn, NY with her former dance partner Roman Nabatov. After they had over 200 competitive kids and adults at the studio, they opened up another social dance studio in Manalapan, NJ. Turning Professional in 2004 was the next stage and development in her brilliant career. She took first place on Embassy Ball open to the World Professional championship and was third in Blackpool championship in England, the biggest championship in the world. Irinas reputatation extends beyond the competitive dance floor. She joined the cast of both national tours of Dancing with the Stars. She gained respect through teaching, demonstrating and lecturing worldwide. She has established a successful reputation for coaching, developing, and assisting a wide range competitors from all over the U.S. with training, choreography and costume design.
